Lurcombe Luxury Apartments

With the best of both worlds, town or countryside, we want you to enjoy your stay with us. Here’s a few ideas and recommendations of things to enjoy during your stay with us.

home farm

Home Farm Café is situated on the National Trust Estate of Parke in Bovey Tracey. We are open every day 10.00am to 4.00pm (10.00am to 5.00pm during the summer months). Lunch is served midday to 3.00pm, with drinks, cakes and scones continuing until close. By night, our beautiful little café becomes a lovely little candle-lit restaurant. We are open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening, serving a 3-course seasonal menu for £24.95pp. It’s 7pm arrival for 7.30pm dinner. Advanced booking is required. Book your table online now, or give us a call on 01626 830016.

Situated on a working farm, the wildlife here is outstanding. Birdlife is abundant with a resident Goshawk and an array of birds to spot. Our resident Devon Red Ruby cattle meander across the valley and the fishing lake is stocked with rainbow trout and carp. We have a small herd of Devon white faced sheep, chickens, and our lovely farm dogs, Holly and Scruff. We often spot deer roaming across the fields and with ducks and geese, this characterful spot has nature on tap.

Cycling on Dartmoor

We can provide you with:

  • A workshop and secure lock up for your bikes
  • Recommendations of some good cycle hire companies on the Moor itself.
  • Maps of cycling routes and local information on places to visit.

Things to do in Devon

We want you to feel at home here, and know how important it is to rely on recommendations when you’re staying somewhere ‘new’. We’ve put together a list of our favourites things to get up to, both here on the farm and ‘out and about’.

Exploring Dartmoor

Lurcombe is 3 miles from the nearest Dartmoor Tor and there’s OODLES to explore in this beautiful part of the world. So grab your hiking boots, nab a waterproof coat and enjoy what the Moors have to offer!
