A wonderful stay- once again!
Left on Nov 6, 2015 for a stay in Oct 2015
Our third stay in The Mill and once again it provided a warm and comfortable base for walks on the moor and in the valleys. Nick and Sarah are the perfect hosts- always ready to help but never intrusive on your privacy. They go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure everything is perfect for you.
Best Weekend Away Ever!
Left on Oct 30, 2015 for a stay in Oct 2015
My fiance and I stayed here for a long weekend at the beginning of October for his 30th birthday. Everything was absolutley perfect and the cottage was decorated beautifully. The complimentary eggs, milk and coffee were a lovely touch too. Nick was very hospitable and friendly to both of us ( as were the two dogs!) It was very peaceful at the farm and the walks around the farm were very enjoyable. We had a cozy night in on the second night and ate at the Rugglestone Inn one night and The Carpenters Arms which both are a short drive away. We have both gushed to all our family and friends about the wonderful time we had here and are going to be coming back soon!

I would highly recommend Nick & Sarah’s property to anyone. They were extremely welcoming and along with their farm staff you would not know it was a working farm as it is so peaceful and tranquil. The photographs on the website of ‘The Mill’ do not do the property justice, we had everything we needed and more and there were numerous personal touches such as a bottle of wine, fresh milk and eggs waiting for our arrival.

We were looking for a peaceful place to celebrate my fiancées birthday and we definitely found that perfect place. The barn is located at the bottom of the quiet farms long driveway. The views are breathtaking and the welcome we received from both Nick & the dogs was very warm! We expected The Granary to be clean and tidy and it was. We were surprised though how cosy and homely the place felt. Everything was thought of and it was very spacious. You genuinely feel that you are in the middle of nowhere. We didn’t hear the other guests and the family in the farmhouse were not intrusive at all which is something I was originally a little worried about. The location in general we thought was ideal. Although you can’t walk to the nearest pub/village, it was only a very short drive away. You can explore all the local attractions with ease too. All in all an incredible find and a very enjoyable time was had. We certainly didn’t want to leave – needless to say we recommend this amazing place to EVERYONE and we hope to be back soon.
Luxurious conversion on authentic working farm

The Granary is a tasteful conversion with all amenities and stunning views across the hills. We loved it! Nick and Sarah are genuinely lovely hosts who are helpful and kind when needed but otherwise unobtrusive. The farm is an amazing place, full of old restored farm implements and has its own lake at the bottom where you can sit. The dogs are friendly and welcome you on arrival. I highly recommend.
